Brunei's Malay Literary Works To Be Translated Into Mandarin
Some of Brunei Darussalam's best Malay literary works will be  translated by the Language & Literature Bureau into Mandarin and  will be showcased at the upcoming Shanghai World Expo, which will begin  in May.    Dayang Hajah Aminah binti Haji Momin, the Acting Director of Language  & Literature Bureau, made this observation in her opening remarks  during a Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony with writers  yesterday. The bureau remains committed to elevating local literary works  through translation, as this could propel the Sultanate's culture in the  international scene, she added. Dayang Hajah Aminah urged writers to  double their efforts to promote the Malay language - the official  language of Brunei - to make it highly regarded both in the  international and regional level.
